<image:caption>I study the mechanisms behind systems of political power and the people who are most impacted by them. Currently, I am a J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School and Ph.D. candidate in Harvard’s Government department, where I am also a Presidential Scholar and Stone Ph.D. Scholar in Inequality and Wealth Concentration. I am also a fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. When I am not at CGIS, I play violin and flute in the Harvard GSAS orchestra, compete on a gymnastics team, serve as a Resident Tutor in Adams House, and carefully avoid collisions in Boston’s bike lanes.</image:caption>

<image:title>Mentoring - Applying to law school or Ph.D. programs can be difficult and confusing. If you are a scholar from a group that has traditionally had less access to academic training and would like an extra pair of eyes on your application or want to talk through the application process, feel free to reach out. I also formally and informally mentor early-career journalists of color who want to learn about all things investigative journalism and freelancing. If you have a question you think I could answer, you can email me at kiranmisra@g.harvard.edu.</image:title>
